Yup, I was trying to learn SEO recently. After the whole big blogs and websites who talks about the uses of SEO, I decided to check it out. I ran through the SEO expert quiz by SEOMoz. It was quiet interesting and I got 51% in it. So, I decided to learn SEO, not because it can make me money, not because it can give me traffic, because it is fun and I can get more points in another SEO quiz and can put a badge in my blog saying “Oh, this guy is the god of SEO”.
The problem is that SEO has almost went outdated. When I went from one SEO blog to another, most of them didn’t have any new content that adds to my knowledge. So I decided to check out their oldest posts and what I did was Google for any SEO tip mentioned in the article, so I can learn more. Almost all searches gave me an article saying the tip was outdated; does that mean Google hates SEO or the whole SEO industry is outdated? May be not, it may be because the tips are getting outdated -not the industry- due to fast spreading of information in the blogosphere.
In my search for “become SEO”, I found an interesting article from Webmaster World forum. It said that, to become an SEO, what I had to do was claim myself an SEO and don’t tell the clients what I am doing. If the website is good and gains rank in Search Engines organically, I will get the credit. If the opposite happens, ask the website owners to curse themself. The article was actually teasing the industry, in an intelligent way.
So, what i am going to do now is learn all the outdated SEO tricks, so I can get more points in another outdated ‘SEO quiz’.

Ok, I am not talking about Google or any other big boss website. They are blogs, but they can attract your mind in the very first sight. Ok, may not yours, but it is so for me.
Beautiful blogs always attracted me. I don’t want to define what a beautiful blog is, but they just look cool.

I never subscribe to a blog where someone says what he had for breakfast or where someone says how he learned swimming. But I do when the blog is looking beautiful and that is why I have subscribed to John Chow and Tim Ferris.
I wont care the design much, it just makes me happy only for some moments and it wont make any influence when I have subscribed to RSS using Google Reader.
I want posts to be beautiful with images/videos, small paragraphs, bold quotes etc. Have you ever read Problogger? You can see that it follows a clear pattern and I love that.

I wanted a style like that. So, I installed a plug-in called Photodropper which is used to fetch images from Flickr and tweaked the javascript as it doesn’t provide an easy way for customization. I didn’t forget to put links while preparing the article.
What do you think? How does the post look? Any suggestion for making posts more beautiful?

School reopened after the Onam vacation (asking what Onam is will prove you are stupid, when you have google at your hand). As you know, it is Ramadan all over the world now and I have only half day class the whole september.
Our school have youth festival coming and I am participating in story writing (English), essay writing (English/Malayalam), recitation (English), poetry(English) and i would participate in more items, if the maximum for an individual student was more than five.
