THAT WAS A LOOONG BREAK. It was on 25th of January that I published my last post. Ain’t I supposed to be having a blogger’s break after a big interval? Lucky this time !
Anyway, I got out of the secondary school level with a Fair Complete A+ Grade. That IS a big achievement. And I joined a coaching center, to help me prepare for the IIT-JEE. And I got some really cool friends out there - Ajith,Karthik, Abhay, Athul… to name a few. And…
As you may know, IIT is the best technical institute in the country and its going to be damn hard to get inside. I have got a lot to study these days and ‘a lot’ means, tons of stuff right on my bare back. I have never experienced learning this much stuff in such a short period. I have got myself to enjoy the process though (that is worth an appreciation) !
Nothing else, let me go and study. Meanwhile, enjoy the song:
Many of my friends have asked how I spin my pencil. Teaching each one of them is a hard job.
The video below teaches you the Charge trick in detail. Look out for the related videos for other beautiful tricks.
Pentrix.com is a great website if you are interested in doing further circus with your pen or pencil. Don’t forget to tell me about the tricks you have learned or if you are having any trouble with them. Have fun!
I have a bad news to tell you. I am going to take a break from my online life because of the board exam coming next month. I have to prepare really hard to get to the 90+% mark target. You know, it is hard not using internet when you have been living in it.
There is a good news too. I won in the state web design competition conducted as part of the State School IT Fest. The Fest was held at Technopark, Trivandrum (Capital of our state).
I was told to design a website for my school’s Science Club within the time limit of one hour. I was really prepared and finished the work in 40 short minutes :-).
Now, let me show you some photos:
Sorry for closing my eyes. The sun was really strong.
The photo was taken using a 2 MP Mobile Phone Camera, hence the low clarity.
Something cool happened when I was at there. At the Fest, there was a Seminar on Digital Pictures. The Prof was describing Claude’s law. I just asked a question trying to disprove him. He told me, what I was asking was first asked by Godel and the theorem is called Gödel’s incompleteness theorems. I became the ’star of the day’ for asking such a geeky question . I later discovered that no one but I and the Professor had understood what I had asked, funny! I was asked by the lecturer for expressing thanks for the seminar, it was a real honour. Here is the photograph:
That is me, Jaseem Umer or speaking formally, Jaseem Umar Manalody. I am currently living in the prestigious city of Calicut, India with my parents and siblings.
